Your client opens approved invoices for early payment — you decide per invoice whether to take it and how many days earlier you want your money.
What this means for you
Your client pays your invoices according to the agreed payment term. That doesn't change. What's added is a choice: as soon as your invoice is approved, you can choose in the platform to receive your money earlier, in return for a discount on the invoice amount. No contract, no credit check, no obligation — your decision, invoice by invoice.
You decide
Per invoice
whether to take part, and how many days earlier
Joining costs you

How it works
1
You send your invoice as always
Nothing changes about the way you invoice. The invoice reaches your client and goes through the usual checking and approval process.
2
After approval the invoice appears in the platform
You see which invoice has been approved and on what term it will be paid. Only approved invoices can be accelerated — so you know for sure there's no more discussion about the amount.
3
You choose whether and when you want to be paid earlier
With a single action you pick an earlier payment date. The system shows straight away what it costs and what you receive net. No need to be paid earlier? Then nothing happens and payment follows on the due date.
4
The money is in your account
Your client pays you at the agreed moment. Anyone who always wants to be paid as soon as possible can set that once with AutoPay; after that it happens automatically and you don't have to think about it.
Do you work for several clients that use the platform? Then all those invoices come together in the same environment. One login, one overview of what comes in and when — instead of a separate portal for each client.
What it costs — and why you're in control
The discount moves with the number of days you want to be paid earlier. The earlier you want to be paid, the more discount you give up. Your client sets the rate; in this example we assume 2% per 30 days of acceleration.
Discount = 2% × (days earlier ÷ 30)
5 days earlier
0.33%
discount
10 days earlier
0.67%
discount
15 days earlier
1.0%
discount
30 days earlier
2.0%
discount
Worked example: € 50,000 invoice, paid 15 days earlier
Invoice amount
€ 50,000
Discount (15/30 × 2%)
1.0%
You receive
€ 49,500
15 days earlier
€ 500
What it isn't: an annual interest rate
Almost everyone looking at this for the first time converts the discount into a percentage per year. 1% for 15 days quickly becomes 24% on an annual basis, and that sounds like an expensive loan. The maths is right, the conclusion isn't: an annual rate assumes you borrow the same amount over and over all year round. That doesn't happen here. It's one discount, on one invoice, for the days you're paid earlier. After that it's done.
Compare it with parking: you pay € 3 for an hour in the car park. Nobody converts that into € 26,000 a year, because you park for that one hour. On a € 10,000 invoice, 1% discount is simply € 100 — that's the price of getting your money fifteen days earlier, not € 2,430. We explained this in more detail in this blog article.
Weigh it against your own alternative
The comparison that does matter: what does it cost you right now to bridge those fifteen days? Do you draw on your current account, use factoring, or miss an early-payment discount from your own supplier in that period? Put those costs over the same fifteen days next to the € 500 above. If it works out in your favour, you accelerate. If not, you simply let the invoice run — or choose a smaller acceleration.
When accelerating pays off
Your credit line is tight or expensive, you use factoring, you need the cash for materials or wages on a next project, or you want to reduce your receivables position for your annual figures.
When it's better to wait
You have plenty of liquidity and cheap credit. Then it's smarter not to accelerate, or only by a few days. The platform stays available for the moment when it does suit you.
Not all-or-nothing: you can choose per invoice. Busy month with lots of material purchases? Accelerate a few invoices. Quiet period? Leave them. You're not tied to anything and you don't have to commit anything up front.
What else it gives you
Less draw on your credit line
Every invoice that comes in earlier is an amount you don't have to draw from the bank. At a time when financing has become more expensive, that's the difference between paying interest on your own working capital or not.
Your credit line stays free
Unlike factoring, you pledge nothing, sign no ongoing agreement and there's no credit check. The room at your bank stays fully available for where you need it.
Insight into what's coming
You see which invoices are approved and when they'll be paid. That makes your liquidity planning a lot firmer than an estimate based on payment terms.
Less chasing
The status of your invoice is in the platform. That saves your administration the calls to your client's accounts-payable team, and them the answering of them.
Lower DSO, stronger balance sheet
Being paid earlier structurally shortens your receivables term. That improves your working-capital position and the figures your bank and insurer assess you on.
Room to take on work
New work requires pre-financing of materials, stock and staff. Money that's in earlier, you can put into the next project without first stretching your financing.
And for subcontractors with a G-account: the split between your G-account and your free account stays exactly as you're used to. Early payment changes nothing about the arrangements around the Dutch Chain Liability Act (Wet ketenaansprakelijkheid), only the moment the money arrives.
Questions we get more often
Am I obliged to take part?
No. If you do nothing, you're paid on the due date as stated in your contract. Taking part is an extra option, not a condition for doing business with your client.
Does this change my payment term?
No. The agreed term stays in place. The platform only adds the option to be paid earlier within that term.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. There's no subscription, no minimum volume and no notice period. You only pay the discount on the invoices you accelerate yourself.
Who is NCN Capital?
NCN Capital is the Dutch platform your client uses to arrange this. The platform has been running since 2019 and is used by more than ten thousand companies across a wide range of sectors. There's a good chance you already have invoices from another client in it.
What happens to my data?
The platform only shows the invoices between you and your client. Other suppliers don't see your data, and you don't see theirs. The link with your client's ERP runs over a secure connection.
What if an invoice hasn't been approved yet?
Then you can't accelerate it yet. You do see in the platform that it's being processed. As soon as approval is complete, the option appears automatically.
Can I have this run automatically too?
Yes. If you want to be paid as early as possible by default, you set that once and it happens automatically after that through the AutoPay feature. You can switch that setting off again at any time.
What you can do now
You'll receive an invitation soon to create an account. Signing up takes a few minutes and commits you to nothing: after that you simply see your invoices, with the choice per invoice to bring them forward.
Take your time and decide per invoice: create an account as soon as the invitation arrives and see which invoices are ready for you. For questions about how the platform works, email support@ncn-capital.com. Do you have a specific question about your invoice? Then ask the contact at your client.
